About The Regional Cancer Center

The Regional Cancer Center has been bringing expert cancer care close to home for patients in the northwestern Pennsylvania region since 1987 and is affiliated with UPMC Cancer Centers, one of the largest integrated community networks of cancer physicians and health care specialists in the country. The Regional Cancer Center’s working relationship with UPMC Cancer Centers facilitates an exchange of information to integrate our community cancer center with the resources of one of the top academic programs in the country, collaborating to bring comprehensive and state-of-the-art treatment innovations and services to our patients.

Our Mission

Governed by partnering hospitals, Saint Vincent Health System and UPMC Hamot, the mission of The Regional Cancer Center is to provide comprehensive care for patients with cancer and blood disorders with a commitment to advanced care, research and optimal quality of life for patients and families.


Board certified physicians and more than 160 staff provide care to thousands of regional residents each year. Leading edge medical oncology, hematology and radiation oncology treatments are optimally coordinated.

The Regional Cancer Center physicians have experience providing the full range of cancer treatments including standard chemotherapy, biologic therapy and innovative cancer therapies through clinical trials. In addition they have access to UPMC Cancer Centers’ Clinical Pathways that provide guidelines for drug and radiotherapy management of cancer. Pathways ensure that all patients treated at all UPMC Cancer Centers affiliates, no matter where they are located, receive the same state-of-the-art evidence based care.
