June '16 Go Gray Day

Southwestern Elementary School in Jamestown, NY presented RCC with a check from its first annual “Go Gray Day” in support of Brain Cancer Awareness. Bruce and Susan Moore, both school employees, had assisted in initiating the event to honor their daughter, Molly Moore Lawson, who had been treated at the Center and has since sadly passed. Molly was just 26 years of age when she passed, only seven months after her wedding.

The entire school district participated in “Go Gray Day” and contributed $5 to wear gray, the color of the Brain Cancer Awareness ribbon. Through these fundraising efforts the school donated $659 towards RCC. The Moore’s were extremely grateful for the excellent care their daughter had received, and they have plans to expand on the fundraiser in the coming years to show their appreciation of the Center. They have also participated in fundraisers for Circle of Love, the National Brain Cancer Association, and “Flip Your Wig for Molly”.
