Nationally, one of the first community cancer centers providing both medical and radiation oncology in a single location, assuring maximum patient options and optimal coordination of care. |
The Regional
Cancer Center's reputation for excellence in cancer care reflects the
expertise of the physician team. Our medical oncologists,
hematologists
and radiation oncologists have been trained at premier cancer care institutions
in the United States and abroad. All are board-certified in their specialties,
having completed rigorous examinations to achieve this designation.
Our
doctors are engaged full-time in clinical practice and clinical research.
This means their first priority is seeing and directly caring for patients.
|
The protocols our doctors follow include those used by physicians at the nation's leading cancer centers. |
At the same time, they access the latest research and data for treatment
of various diseases. Having personal knowledge of the patients in their
care, as well as access to the newest developments, enables our physicians
to pursue the most effective treatment options possible for patients.
The protocols our doctors follow include those used by physicians at the
nation's leading cancer centers.
The expertise
of the Center's physician group is extended through contact with fellow
oncologists all over the world. Our doctors continuously learn from and,
in turn, share their insights and findings with other cancer care experts.
|
Knowledge of the
Latest Options
Many of the newest research developments and treatment therapies
that were once available only to patients in certain areas
of the country are now available at the Center as a result
of links established through our research department. |
Medical publications, educational forums, one-on-one meetings and electronic
communications, including the Internet, are all used to exchange valuable
diagnosis and treatment information. Recognized cancer care authorities
also visit the Center regularly to present the latest findings on specific
areas of oncology. The Regional Cancer Center's medical staff brings the
best of all treatments and techniques home to benefit area residents.
Just as expertise
is important, so is experience. Our physician group has been providing
cancer care for more than a quarter of a century, making it one of the
most experienced oncology practices in the United States. Since 1987,
when the Center first opened, we have treated more than 20,000 residents
of the region. Each year, we see over 2,000 new patients, making us one
of the largest community cancer centers in the nation.

know the unique concerns and problems of cancer patients.
