Regional Cancer Center ~ Erie, PA

SHOW OF HOPE

Apr 04, 2012 | Posted in News

Every milestone deserves a good party and we’re planning a great one this year.

2012 is an extraordinary year for The Regional Cancer Center (RCC), Erie, PA.
It is our 25th Anniversary as a community asset serving the patients of Erie County.

As a 25th Anniversary celebration, The RCC is planning an inaugural gala at the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie. A SHOW of HOPE, appropriately named for the work of The RCC and the entertainment at the event, will be held on September 15, 2012. This black tie optional event is being planned to include all the fun and excitement of a Las Vegas style show and to honor our founders Drs. Peter Scibetta, William Brereton, and Jay Jenkins. A cocktail party and dinner with open bar and great entertainment is being planned.

All proceeds raised from a Show of Hope will fund The RCC’s Community Care Program which supports financially needy patients. It has been the hallmark of the RCC that no patient is ever turned away because of their inability to pay. In 2011 alone, $1.5M
was awarded to patients needing financial assistance. This is a substantial increase from 2008 in which $500,000 was awarded.

Please plan to join in the fun in support of local cancer patients.
