Giving
Over the years, grateful patients and family members made donations to The RCC to financially assist other patients going through cancer treatments. With that, it’s been the hallmark of the center that no patient is ever turned away because of their inability to pay. In 2010, $1.3M was awarded to financially needy patients. (In 2009, the total was $1M and it was $500,000 in 2008. It grows significantly each year!) Going forward, however, additional funding will be needed to continue this work.
In addition, with the growing numbers of patients coming to The RCC, we are approaching our capacity in our present building. The Board of The Regional Cancer Center is currently reviewing options for a building expansion. This expansion would include an integrated pharmacy and chemotherapy infusion area. Funds will need to be raised to pursue this building project.
The initiatives listed below have begun to fund these projects.
- Silver Stars
- A Rave Review
- Annual Fund Drive
- SHOW of HOPE
- Recent Initiatives Funded Through The Generosity of our Donors
- Grants
- Capital Support/Naming Opportunities
- Remember the Foundation in your estate/will
