The Regional Cancer Center

Important Answers to Often-Asked Questions

To schedule an appointment

Call the receptionists at the Main Center, (814) 838-9000 or the satellite location where you receive services. See "About The Regional Cancer Center".

If unable to keep a scheduled appointment

Please notify the Center at least 24 hours in advance.

To contact your physician

During regular business hours call (814) 838-9000 or the satellite location where you receive services. The receptionist will connect you with a member of your treatment team who will assist you or direct your call to your physician.

After hours call (814) 838-9000. The answering service will take your message and the physician on call will return your call within the hour. Patients at RCC-NorthEast Ohio call (440) 997-4554.

Your primary physician is still the first person to call regarding non-cancer matters.

In an emergency please report to the nearest hospital emergency room.

Getting prescriptions filled

Please be sure to have prescriptions filled during office hours. Trying to obtain narcotic prescriptions over the phone at night or on weekends may be difficult or impossible, given narcotic regulations and laws.

For billing questions

For specific questions regarding a bill, call the Business Department at (814) 838-0410. If more extensive assistance is needed, please schedule an appointment with the Financial Counselor by calling (814) 838-9000, ext. 353.

For copies of records/disability claims

Call the Medical Records Department at (814) 838-0445.

For test results

When tests are ordered for you, your physician will review all your test results. If the test results are those expected by him you will not necessarily receive a follow-up call. If you would like a special arrangement to be made in order to receive a test result, please let your physician know at the time of your visit.
