Midge Brawley made history as the RCC’s first stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) patient in 2010

Midge Brawley drove in from her home in Venango, PA to make history as the RCC’s first stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) patient in the spring 2010. SRS technology delivers individualized radiation treatment plans with surgical precision, giving patients with inoperable tumors a curative opportunity for treatment. Other health conditions prevented Midge from getting the surgery she needed to fight her cancer, and travelling to a big city for treatment was not for her. “When we found out we could get this in Erie we were so glad,” she said. “It was really no trouble and I was finished in just a few visits.”
